Exchanges and Returns

Didn’t work out? That’s okay! We are more than happy to process an exchange or store credit within 14 days of delivery. Please refer below our policy & guidelines:

Exchanges / Returns / Refund Policy

  • Exchanges or returns are accepted on goods within 14 days from the date you received the item.
  • Items received or requests to return or exchange items outside of this period will NOT be accepted. We suggest all items are tried on as soon as they are received to ensure you are able to return items within this timeframe.
  • All merchandise returned must be in their original condition, unworn and unwashed, without makeup or deodorant marks and with the original packaging and tags intact.
  • There is no charge to exchange items for a different size, however all exchanges are based on availability.
  • Brighten Your Day is unable to process any exchange or return on items that were not bought from our online store.
  • Brighten Your Day does NOT issue refunds under any of these circumstances:
    • Change of mind, 
    • Wrong size ordered,
    • Decided you did not like the purchase,
    • Sale items,
    • Discount code was used.                                         

Under any of the circumstances stated we will gladly offer an exchange or credit towards a future purchase.

  • SALE and Promotional items are FINAL purchases. No exchanges, returns or refunds.
  • We do not refund initial shipping charges for goods returned or exchanged, except for faulty items. Your own return postage costs are not refundable.
  • Please include in your return parcel the item you would like to exchange and add an extra pre-paid satchel addressed to you for your new item to be sent.
  • Brighten Your Day is not responsible for the loss of garments being returned. We recommend using a trackable and insured delivery method.
  • We must have the exchanged item in our warehouse before your new item is sent.

 

Faulty items

  • All products are quality controlled and checked before they are sent to customers. Should you receive a product that is not in perfect condition, please contact us immediately.
  • Any product that arrives in a defective condition can be exchanged or returned for a refund.
  • Brighten Your Day will cover any postage / shipping expenses.
  • Once the item has been received, it will undergo a quality review and we will contact you to advise the appropriate procedure which will be to refund or exchange.
  • Refunds will only be issued on the original credit card used for the purchase or via PayPal (fees may incur). Once your refund has been issued, funds will show up on your bank statement within approximately 3-4 business days.

Important Shipping Notes

  • Standard domestic shipping fee $10 (3-10 business days)
  • Express domestic shipping fee $15 (1-3 business days)
  • Free Shipping applies to orders over $100 (Australia wide).
  • Shipping charges are based on a 2kg weighted bag. For order exceeds the weight limit may incur additional charges. Our Customer Service Department will contact you regarding the variance that you will be required to pay before the order is dispatched.
  • Our delivery time starts from the moment an order is completed and includes a 24 hour period where your items will be dispatched by our warehouse. Please note this can take longer during our sale periods when it may take up to 48 hours for shipments to be dispatched.
  • Any orders received after 4:00 pm (AWST) will only be processed on the following business day.
  • Brighten Your Day does not process orders over the weekends or on Public Holidays.
  • Extremely large orders may be subject to additional shipping charge.
  • Please note that Brighten Your Day is not responsible for packages which are lost or damaged during shipment, or for locating lost or stolen packages once they have been delivered. This applies to both domestic and international orders.
  • If you would like to purchase additional services, such as signature confirmation or insurance, please include a note with your order and we will contact you via email to confirm availability & price.
  • Additionally, Brighten Your Day is not responsible for replacing packages sent to erroneous or outdated addresses, as entered by the customer, so please be sure to double check your shipping address before placing your order.

Shipping Method for International Orders

    • DHL Express: Tracking express service charged at a flat rate of $40 per order (2kg limit).
    • Estimated delivery time to 3-5 business days, depending on destination.

  • Please be aware that orders to countries outside Australia may be subjected to import duties or tax, which are applied when your package reaches your country. Your order is shipped on a Delivery Duty Unpaid basis. We are unable to estimate the amount of duties and taxes your package will incur as this charges are imposed directly by your local customs. Payment of this is necessary to release your order from your customs.  Items returned due to Unpaid Delivery Duty, Brighten Your Day will not provide refund for shipping expenses from Australia to the destination country and from the destination country back to Australia.
